An apartment designed to cater three different requirements; one to serve as a Parental unit in Ground Floor, second to serve as a rentable unit in Ground and First Floor and another unit in the Roof level as the holiday home for the client during their visits to Sri Lanka. Providing three different accesses and allowing maximum privacy within each unit in 12.5 perch land were the main goals the project was undertaken. Front road is not too busy but rather too narrow, and therefore the house were set back from the main road to accommodate a car parking and a garden space. The building was located at a higher elevation comparatively to the rest of the area, and therefore the water body and moderately dense green patch was captured by every possible space such as balconies and terraces, roof top level and even from bathrooms. Outward appearance with its sober features contributes much to harmonize this to the residential context and also very well suited to the character of the owner who lives in Los Angeles USA.
